Note-taking in Obsidian

1:00 pm - 1:50 pm

Regular Session

Gustavo Keener

Taking notes can be a challenge for many people. If you work on a computer and like to keep track of what you’re doing, how you want to do it, and documenting what was done, then taking notes with Obsidian might be a fit for you. The application is free, and one begins with an empty “vault”. The vault is a folder on your computer. It could also be a folder in your iCloud. How you manage your files is up to you. The key to Obsidian is that everything is yours, always. It’s a promise they make to the customer. The software is open sourced. Obsidian is more or less a personal Wiki. This presentation will cover daily notes, organizational principles, useful plugins, and how it all fits into a workday.

Audience: Government, Higher Education, K-12, and Non-Profit
