Presentation Title: “Using BCM to send admission acceptance emails”

Using BCM to send admission acceptance emails
Summary

I plan to show how BridgeValley uses the Banner Communication Management (BCM) system to generate and send our college acceptance emails from our admissions office.

Description

I planned to show how we set up BCM to send our college acceptance letters. I plan to include information on setting up the organizations (outlook emails to send from), creating data fields and templates that use those data fields, and how to use queries (SQL statements) to generate the list of students to send the communications to. Technology/Systems Office staff, Admissions Office staff, or staff that oversees Communications within the college could find this information useful.

About the Presenter(s):

I've worked in higher education for around 18 years. The majority of that time was spent working in the financial aid office. Around 2 and a half years ago I made a career change and moved into the student systems office. In my current role, I attended a webinar about the Banner Communication Management system that SIG offered and decided to have it set up at BridgeValley.
