Presentation Title: “The Future of Computer Sciences in the K12 Landscape”
This session discusses at a high-level AP courses available and what is upcoming to districts who have an interest in Computer Science. This session will briefly discuss AP Computer Science Principles but will have a focus on College Board's new AP courses coming in 2026-2027, AP Cybersecurity.
I will briefly give a high level overview of a current computer science course, AP Computer Science Principles. But, more of the session will discuss the new upcoming courses AP Cybersecurity and why College Board is developing these courses. This presentation will be helpful for district curriculum leaders as well as teachers or industry professionals who may have an interest in teaching these courses.

Zach Riffle is an Associate Director with College Board, working to support K-12 schools in West Virginia with all of their College Board program needs. Prior to College Board, Zach was a high school science educator of 10 years, including roles as a department chair, and teacher leader, where he supported his schools in professional learning (including SAT Suite Support) and grant initiatives. His passion is to make sure all students have access to coursework they find important.
