From CIPA Compliance to Career Readiness: Building a Foundation of Digital Literacy
Summary

In this interactive panel, three district leaders moderated by a former district leader will share how they are going beyond CIPA compliance to build comprehensive digital literacy programs that prepare students for academic achievement and career readiness in a digital world.

Description

During this interactive panel conversation, participants will learn how digital citizenship, foundational tech skills, and career-aligned instruction work together to equip students for success in any field, while staying aligned with safety and policy requirements. Participants will leave with practical strategies and ideas to implement in their own district.

This panel discussion will be of interest to district admins in technology and curriculum & instruction, as well as, teachers who are wanting to ensure their students have the necessary technology skills to achieve academically and professionally, regardless of their choice in career. Students know how to use technology, however, many teachers have indicated students aren't skillful in using technology in an academic setting. This is critical, not only for their academic success, but it will also be critical in their chosen career.
